The mandate of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is to promote sustainable and inclusive development and regional connectivity in the Asian and Pacific region. ESCAP’s role as a regional development arm of the United Nations Secretariat is to support its membership with policy oriented research and analysis, normative support and technical assistance and capacity building, to respond to the development priorities and changing needs of the Asian and Pacific region. The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) is a Regional Institute of ESCAP. It provides support to member States in strengthening their National Innovation Systems including through identification, transfer, adaptation and application of technologies for sustainable development. APCTT promotes the exchange of experience through the organization of international conferences, workshops, study tours of policy makers. It provides information related to Science, Technology and Innovation Policy and recent trends on technologies through its publications. At the request of the Governments, APCTT provides NIS diagnosis, country level consultations, advisory services, support to creating enabling policy in support of technology-based entrepreneurs. Another important work of APCTT is to facilitate the identification, transfer, adaptation and application of technologies to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It has special technological focus on: renewable energy; agriculture and water; climate change mitigation and adaptation; ICT and other fourth industrial revolution related technologies. In promoting regional cooperation among the member States in the area of STI policy and technology transfer, APCTT facilitates the creation of international networks on specific technologies and deepens cooperation with technology transfer institutions/ technology business incubators. It collects information from networks members for technologies for sustainable development.

The Role The National Sales head will leads Sales & Operations for India and lead a team of cross-category sales reps, account managers, key account managers and relationship managers. You will be a part of nearbuys core leadership team that decides and executes the orgs strategy. This is a P&L ownership role and all the regional and city heads will report to you. Your main goal will be to meet the monthly revenue targets & grow the business multi-fold by focusing on growing each of the city/region. To accomplish the requirements of this role, we require hands-on effective leadership skills, strong problem solving & analytical skills, astute decision making and effective stakeholder management. Your day-to-day work will be Being part of strategic meetings that decides the org strategy Creating a monthly plan to ensure that the revenue targets are met Working closely with your team of Regional and City heads and ensure that they are executing as per the plan set out Ensure that the teams are well equipped to meet the monthly revenue targets Travel extensively to each of the cities as and when the need arises Monitor & review the teams on a daily basis Contribute to product development by working closely with key merchants and providing grass root intelligence Requirements Do you fit the bill?
