DescriptionAre you a Niagara area CPA looking for an exciting position with an established and successful company which offers excellent career growth and the opportunity to work closely with the Operations Team located across Canada? Due to an internal promotion, our client is looking to add an Accounting Manager to the team. Note that this is a hybrid role and requires 3 days/week in the office.Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the month end close, financial statement preparation, budgeting/forecasting, financial analysis, government filings and corporate taxes. As the Accounting Manager, you will work closely with Operations Managers, fielding and interpreting their requests as well as explaining effectively financial results to them. You should be a confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with Senior Management on a regular basis.To be considered for this role, you must be a CPA with 5+ years of experience, including supervisory experience. You should have solid general accounting and budgeting and forecasting experience. You must be a clear and effective communicator as you will be working closely with the Operations team situated across Canada. Corporate tax knowledge is an asset. Our client welcomes CPA's from public accounting who are looking to jump to industry before the start of busy season.RequirementsResponsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.Budgeting And Forecasting:Assist in the development and monitoring of the organization's budget.Provide financial forecasts to assist in strategic planning.Financial Analysis:Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.Identify and address financial discrepancies or irregularities.Compliance:Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Prepare corporate tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.Team Management:Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals.Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Process Improvement:Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Implement best practices and automation where appropriate.Requirements:CPA designation5+ years of accounting experienceStrong general accounting and month end close experienceBudgeting and forecasting expertiseStrong ExcelERP experienceStrong communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial managersCorporate tax knowledge Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
