Job Description

Cost controller Providing controlling support for the local corporate support functions Lead the financial monitoring of the factory and the implementation / tracking of corrective actions. They even take care of the product costing, Standard costing, variance Analysis. Mostly focusing on Production Setup.Responsibilities Essential Function 1: SAP Cost Center Planning and Master Data Preparation of production cost center planning and activity rates using standard costing Manage cost center assessments and allocations Provide accurate up-to-date standard costing, work with production and master data team Ensure costing reflects appropriate BOMs and recipes. Essential Function 2: Manage daily operation and work on improvements and quality Enhance and document Controlling processes Timely identify the potential issues and make the appropriate escalation Participate in the implementation of quality / continuous improvement projects (Lean Event) and be active in driving daily huddle meetings Support and initiate process improvement initiatives and related projects, be proactive and creative on contributing ideas for service improvement Operational compliance on all regulatory, internal/external guidelines and support on audit activities Act as a back up for other team member/s as per aligned back up structure. Ensure proper knowledge transfer between back ups. Execute knowledge transfer / work shadowing sessions in countries Ensure all the up-to-date operational procedures are maintained, documented and executed, all the operations adherence to the standardized process landscape Essential Function 3: Preparation and management of Business Unit financials Review production cost centers for accuracy and implement corrective measures as needed Provide detailed analysis of labor and utilities Proactively analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators Collaborate with Affiliates, Procurement and Operations to understand and plan for financial impacts Working with production mgmt and master data teams to ensure costing reflects appropriate BOM and recipes Working with affiliate sites on source plant cost changes and planning for variances impacting profitability Essential Function 4: Reporting & Month End Closing Month-end closing responsibilities. Provide accurate up-to-date standard costing impact along with other operational variances and hence gross margin analyses during month close. Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting to site and BU management, create narratives that are shared with senior management teams. Analyze actual results vs. budget and forecast, including but not limited to commentary development summarizing/explaining variances Enhance and automate analytical frameworks for more efficient, relevant and timely reporting; drive continuous improvement in reporting and information sharing processes Essential Function 5: "Review and Analysis -_ Performance of business unit financials": Review production cost centers for accuracy and implement corrective measures as needed. Manage detailed analysis of Operational metrics, ex. labor, utilities, freight, etc... Proactively analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances and forecast derivation. Review key performance indicators to understand cost drivers and work with site and BU management on implementation of cost reduction opportunities Essential Function 6: Finance & or cross department collaboration Partner with Excellence group to work on site specific improvement projects Support transfer pricing process as needed Support and review of capital spend Assures internal controls are in place Assures collaboration within the Finance teams (Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury) Ad Hoc activities as requested, cost / benefit analysis, “what-if” scenarios, long range planning, etc... RequirementsEducation: College degree in Business Administration or Economics Sciences, MBA preferred At least 5 years of related controlling experience gained in a dynamic manufacturing environment Must have 3 - 5 years of SAP controlling, product costing and related master data Project Management experience - will be an advantage Strong understanding of product costing concepts, variance analysis and performance controlling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highest standards of accuracy and precision, highly organized Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
