_strong_Position Title: Analyst Hazmat_/strong__p__br /__/p__strong_Position Summary:_/strong__p__br /__/p_The Analyst Hazmat reports directly to the Hazmat Manager and is responsible for Dangerous Goods/HAZMAT, process implementation, and shipping of Dangerous Goods/HAZMAT within the Technical Operations, Ground Operations and Airport Departments. The Analyst works closely with the Technical Operations Leadership and applicable crewmembers to ensure that Handling, Shipping, Storage, and Waste management are carried out in accordance with applicable JetBlue policies and procedures, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, CFR 49 and applicable local Airport regulations._p__br /__/p__strong_Essential Responsibilities_/strong__p__br /__/p__ul__li_Implement the accepted processes for the shipping and storage of DG/HAZMAT Parts and Materials within the Technical Operations Department. _/li__li_Oversee all Tech Ops storage processes in the terminals, hangars and support other departments with DG/HAZMAT issues, such as spills and go / no go status._/li__li_Monitor the performance of Tech Ops Stations that engage in the shipping and storage of DG/HAZMAT materials and provides guidance to shippers throughout the system_/li__li_Make corrections to the Part Master in TRAX where hazardous materials are concerned_/li__li_Ensure the Safety Data Sheets for all hazardous are up to date in both TRAX and the 3E online website_/li__li_Look up hazmat status of new inventory and updating Configuration Control _/li__li_Monitor Chemical and Fuel Spills as well as cleanup of both_/li__li_Provide guidance to Airports Crewmembers regarding hazardous material status of passenger items_/li__li_Provide on call support for Shipping, Airport, and Chemical Spill questions after hours on a rotating basis_/li__li_Other duties as assigned _/li__/ul__p__br /__/p__strong_Minimum Experience and Qualifications:_/strong__p__br /__/p__ul__li_High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma_/li__li_One (1) year of experience with usage of the Federal Code of Regulations _/li__li_Ability to help gather information for reports to be presented to JetBlue leadership and various regulatory authorities. _/li__li_Ability to review regulations and write / revise the JetBlue DG/HAZMAT policies and procedures._/li__li_Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge for all Material Cities as required _/li__li_Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standards_/li__li_Excellent verbal and written communication skills_/li__li_Successfully pass the annual Hazmat Awareness Training by JetBlue University_/li__li_Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)_/li__li_Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test_/li__li_Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located_/li__li_Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship_/li__/ul__p__br /__/p__strong_Preferred Experience And Qualifications_/strong__p__br /__/p__ul__li_Experience working in a Stock Clerk environment (Inventory, Distribution, Shipping, etc.)_/li__li_Experience with usage of the Federal Code of Regulations Titles 14, 29, 40, and 49._/li__li_Working knowledge of both Air and Ground Transport Shipping with experience in both modes_/li__li_Be able to read and understand the IATA and Titles 49, 29, and 40 of the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations)_/li__li_TRAX knowledge_/li__li_Proficient in Microsoft Office suite_/li__li_Able to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner_/li__li_Excellent decision making and problem solving skills_/li__li_Ability to multi task and work under pressure in a dynamic environment_/li__/ul__p__br /__/p__strong_Crewmember Expectations: _/strong__p__br /__/p__ul__li_Regular attendance and punctuality _/li__li_Able to maintain a professional appearance_/li__li_When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. (Medium)_/li__/ul__p__br /__/p__strong_Compensation: _/strong__p__br /__/p__ul__li_The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more._/li__/ul_
